Planning on giving a baby shower for the expectant parents of twins? You will probably wonder if you have to get double of everything for twins, or how you can take an idea that was made for one baby and double it to make it work for the twins. There are many great favors that you can make for twins. These can be easily made for the party and the twin theme can be carried through to the favor theme.

Depending on what the party theme is you can take that theme and add to it. While you can make double the favors, its easier to make just one favor with the “double” theme.

One thing that you can make is the painted flower pots and adapt them to twins. You can do this several ways. One is to buy the next size up from the smallest planter and paint them. You can put designs on the planters, and if you do, you will want to paint them on “double” two cherries, two hearts together, two of everything. This will continue the twins theme. Now when you get the seeds, choose plants that have bulbs, like daffodils. You want to choose bulbs because these will be easier to package for the favors. You will want to place “2″ bulbs in each flower pot. So now since you have you flower pot painted, and maybe designed, you will want to add the flowers.

What I did, and it turned out really cute was to get potting soil, Ziploc bags, and the flower bulbs and put the bulbs in the bag, with the soil and then put them in the flower pot. I then added a wooden dowel rod that I attached at the bottom with a piece of play dough, and stuck it straight up, on the top of that, i added a tag that resembled a cloth diaper – with a little poem that I made up. Then I assembled everything in the flower pot. The end result was very cute and the guest loved it.

Don’t want to paint the flower pots? Then take wrapping paper and put it around the flower pots. This will work great because of the potting soil will be in the bags and won’t damage the wrapping paper.

You can make very cute and useful favors for the baby shower for twins with just a little modification of single baby shower favors. Guests seem to love homemade baby shower favors more than generic store bought favors.

Everyone loves candles. These are a great baby shower favor to give your guests.

The great thing about candles is that they can be personalized to fit the party theme and they are very inexpensive to make.

There are several great things that you can do to dress up cheap store bought candles that will make these party favors for your next event.

Buy a small candle already in a glass container, then with paint and a small paint brush paint on the glass. The easiest way is to get a small stencil of a simple object, such as a heart, and paint several hearts on the glass container, this personalizes them. Then add a bow to the candle and its ready for a gift.

One easy way to do a decoration is to outline a simple design in glue and the just add glitter to make a simple design that is cute and again your guests will love them.

Another option for be to get the small tin candles. These are sold in dollar stores, and you can get them online at auction sites cheap also.  To make these, measure the top circle, then create your design and print from your computer. Cut the circles out and paste them on the lid and you will have a great little favor for a few cents each. Sometimes you can find stickers in stores that you can just peel and stick on the lids.

As you can see with cheap candles you can make several great baby shower candle favors that you can give your guests.
